Is there a way with Windows media to rip several tracks
from a CD into just one mp3 or wma file? I'd like to be
able to listen to music (such as The Beatles "Abbey
Road") where there are no breaks between some of the
songs (but there are the CD markers, causing each song to
count as one file). Is there a work-around for this?

Not with the player, you might be able to string together the tracks in
Windows Movie Maker though.
