Error 88780078, Bad DirectSound driver. Where can I get a driver??

When I try to play an audio file, I get this error: Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in the configuration. Error code: 88780078 .... Does anyone know where I can get a driver?? Or can they help me with this? Thanks!!
