I used to be able to listen to audio on the NPR.org website. Now, when I
click on a link, I get no audio. The Java console in Firefox brower says
"sa on_click is not defined." Internet Explorer 6 says "Error on page."
Mozilla doesn't work either, but I don't see an error message. I have popus
and cookies enabled for the website in all the browsers. I selected WMP as
the default player for the NPR site when requested. I went to the Sun Java
site and I have the most current version. I ran the diagnostics at the NPR
site and sent a message. All of the tests worked for various kinds of
connections except the "Metafile Test" which states:
" 3) Metafile Test:
This link should launch a Real Media player. At first, you will hear a short
underwriting announcement. Immediately following this you should hear a
Morning Edition piece on the space shuttle Columbia, followed by the rest of
the stories in the program. You'll also see a separate window with an image
associated with the underwriting announcement and then the NPR logo. "
I also update RealPlayer, just for the heck of it. I am able to play radio
stations (I use iTunes for that.)
Any advice, please? Thanks.
